This course emphasizes training in speaking and listening skills.

2.Syllabus:
Topics Learning Objectives
Unit 1:Welcome
  1. Can use simple phrases for greetings.
  2. Can use simple phrases to introduce people.
  3. Can use simple phrases to ask one’s likes/dislikes.
  4. Can use simple phrases to express gratitude
Unit 2:Family
  1. Can talk about family members and appellation.
  2. Can describe people, places and possessions in simple terms
Unit 3:What Are Your Hobbies?
  1. Can describe what one likes/dislikes (e.g. sports and movie).
  2. Can express what two groups have in common.
  3. Can ask someone’s opinion in a polite way and make a simple suggestion.
Unit 4:How Much
  1. Can ask and talk about prices
  2. Can use simple phrases to describe a common object with regard to its size and function
Unit 5:Food And Drink
  1. Can name common food and describe the taste.
  2. Can express one’s likes for food and make simple comments about them.
  3. Can describe what one an/can’t do and how well he does.

Target Students

1.Aged 16 or up.
2.These courses are suitable for beginners. Please refer to the syllabus above and register for the course according to your level.

  2. The class will be canceled if there are no more than 4 students.

Unit 6:Locations
  1. Can describe a location (e.g. near or far) or position.
  2. Can talk about a place closely around one’s work and life.
  3. Can make simple comments about the appearance of a place
Unit 7:Time
  1. Can tell and ask about time.
  2. Can describe an activity that happens in progress (time-when), at a point in time or during a time frame. (time-duration)
  3. Can make an appointment with a friend.
Unit 8:How to go?
  1. Can name the different types of transportation and talk about getting to a destination.
  2. Can talk about one’s plan in his free time.
  3. Can make a simple comparison among various modes of transportation.
Unit 9:Leisure
  1. Can use time expression to describe an event.
  2. Can discuss the travel plan with friends.
  3. Can talk about hypothetical situations.
  4. Can give suggestions about leisure activities
Unit 10:Appearances of Objects and People
  1. Can give simple description of one’s appearance.
  2. Can describe food with regard to its color, smell and taste.
  3. Can briefly explain and give reasons.

Target Students

1.Aged 16 or up.
2.This course is suitable for learners who have already studied the A1 course, or who have learned Chinese for up to 100 hours. Please refer to the syllabus above and register for the course according to your level.

  1. Can talk about renting a house and housing facilities.
  2. Can introduce the dwelling environment.
  3. Can make requests to someone, e.g. one’s landlord.
Unit 12:Study and Work
  1. Can describe one’s study plan and future plans.
  2. Can describe past activities and personal experience.
Unit 13:Social Life
  1. Can make an appointment on phone.
  2. Can ask your friend his dietary preference.
  3. Can compare briefly different cultures.
  4. Can express blessing and know Chinese’s response way.
Unit 14:Weather
  1. Can talk about weather condition, including typhoon.
  2. Can describe the four seasons and explain why one likes or dislikes.
  3. Can make a comparison between two events.
  4. Can make a simple statement about personal experience, e.g. a trip.
Unit 15:Fallen Sick
  1. Can ask about how someone is feeling.
  2. Can give a brief description about one’s cold.

  1. Can ask for directions.
  2. Can talk about locations and to give directions.
  3. Can describe events that involve the concurrence of two actions.
  4. Can express sensory feelings.
Unit 2: Transportation
  1. Can describe public transportation in Taiwan.
  2. Can ask and answer about the means of transportation to a designated place.
  3. Can compare, explain, and choose the proper means of transportation.
  4. Can express comparison, warning, and suggestion.
Unit 3: Studying
  1. Can express past experience.
  2. Can describe my language learning experience.
  3. Can express my views on language learning.
  4. Can express my daily schedule and what I do on holidays.
Unit 4: Work
  1. Can talk about my education background and working experiences.
  2. Can talk about the ideal job, its responsibilities and salary.
  3. Can ask questions related to job responsibilities.
